About the Retreat.

Living life in the slow lane is our focus for this yoga retreat experience! It’s time to welcome the summer, and what better way to welcome it than in southwest France where you can truly experience each day in the present moment. Give yourself some new inspiration, meet new people and enjoy relaxing wellness treatments to give your soul the boost it needs.

Imagine a relaxed haven of luxury design and atmosphere where you can breathe in the fresh air and feel your stresses melt away as you recline on the terrace. Renew yourself with morning and evening yoga, taste delicious and refreshing meals, learn more about your mind and body with a personalised yoga practice, and make wonderful memories.

Join us this June in the Lot Valley for this authentic French experience where we will be staying at Château de Cadrès for 5 days of timeless luxury.

The Wellness.

Your retreat will be hosted by founder of The Glowin’ Retreat, Harriet Cherry. 

A 350hr yoga teacher, Harriet will guide you throughout the daily rituals, including yoga, grounding and meditation, practiced throughout the 5 days of the retreat.

A lover of movement, her sessions allow you to fully connect your body and breath, finding a sense of meditation in motion by drawing awareness to the body’s senses. She knows how to adapt to the class, and connects with each person individually so that you can get the most out of your practice. During this escape, you will be guided through a variety of meditation & relaxation sessions to help you relax & draw further awareness to mind and body whereby you will step out into the forest to experience barefoot grounding, forest-bathing & breathwork.

Throughout your experience, you have the opportunity to discuss any questions you have about all aspects of the practice and personalising it to you. Whether it’s a specific posture or deepening your meditation, Harriet will be happy to guide you!

In the morning ~

  • Light snacks; Yoga practice & meditation; Buffet brunch; Free time to read or swim; Massage treatment

In the afternoon ~

  • Workshop; Sound Journey; Free time to play tennis/walk/journal; Light snack with tea & coffee

In the evening ~

  • Yoga Practice & meditation; Dinner

The Sanctuary.

This hidden gem is set within 10 hectares of private parkland & forest, harnessing the tranquility required for an escape from the modern rush so that you can take a moment to breathe.

Château de Cadrès has been restored to its former glory, highlighting its unique architecture, and creating a soothing environment with its timeless design. A stunning studio overlooks the sequoia trees, growing beyond the South Terrace, where you can practice yoga and meditation twice a day.

Step out upon the terraces encircling Cadrès, and surround yourself with the breathtaking views of the rolling hills. Let your senses be lulled by the sweet perfumes of the fruit trees and herbs that grow about the gardens and let your morning strolls be guided by the birds. Between the activities of this retreat, you will have plenty of time to relinquish the daily rush of life by relaxing by the private pool, dozing under dappled shade of the trees, reading your favourite book on the terraces or playing a round of tennis as you bond with the other guests.

The Cuisine.

While you retreat with us, our chef will be in charge of nourishing your bodies with delicous cuisine. She certainly likes to make the table as colourful as possible using seasonal fruit and vegetables!

An Example Menu: 
  • Light Morning Snacks

  • Buffet Brunch ~ whole & energising:

    • Avocado toast with sprouts and hummus

    • Smoothie bowl with seasonal fruits, granola & chia seeds

    • Vegan pancakes with maple syrup

    • Assorted plant-based spreads and fresh bread

    • Coffee, Tea Infused Water

  • Light Snack ~ to keep energy levels balanced

  • 3-Course Dinner:

    • Starter: Veggie Maki

    • Main: Cold Roasted Aubergine, with bell pepper sauce, cucumber, tomatoes, basil, cashew nuts, lactose-free cottage cheese & lime zest

    • Dessert: Tarte Tartin with peaches and rosemary

    • Infused Water

Please note that this is an example menu. You may not receive these exact dishes during your retreat. 
Alternative meals are of course made for those with specific dietary requirements. When you sign-up, a health form will be sent to you so that you can let us know about any requirements you might have.

    Solo Option: 1,050€ - only 1 room left

    Shared Option: 750€ per person

  • A spacious room with beautiful views of the valley. 4 seperate beds or a bunk bed and a super king size bed.

You are more than welcome to hire a car, especially if you’d like to do some of your own sightseeing while you retreat. We can highly recommend Buggs Car Hire if you are flying to Bergerac airport.

We can also organise a transfer service from the Bergerac Airport which is 60€ per person & per trip. If you are arriving from Paris CDG or Bordeaux Airport, you can take the train to Agen or Penne Lot et Garonne and take a taxi.
